Close Up: Lisa Rank.

Two years ago I shot author and blogger >>Lisa Rank<< for >>Berlin Verlag<<, just recently I visited her in her new flat in Kreuzberg and did something like a home-story of her – and I even wrote her portrait (something I used to do ALL THE TIME but haven’t in what… five years?!).   Lisa’s Close Up is the beginning of an ongoing collaboration with the new business platform >>EDITION F<<. You can see the published story >>here<< (Betacode: Launch2014), find below my personal favourites from this lovely shoot.   All photos: Carolin Weinkopf for EDITION F

The Geekettes.

In February I met up with Jess Erickson and Denise Philipp – the fabulous founders of the amazing >>Geekettes<< movement to connect women in tech – to take their >>portrait<<. They have been super successful in Berlin and Germany and are now >>expanding<< the Geekettes all over the world. Cheers girls, and congratulations!   Photo: Carolin Weinkopf

Bea Brocks.

A few months ago when I was heavily pregnant with mini-me (seems like years ago, actually…), I took photos of my friend and stunning actress >>Bea Brocks<< for her portfolio. Never got to show these until now, so here they are.   All photos: Carolin Weinkopf

Kat.

Taking photos of friends when they do not pay attention has always been my favourite thing to do. I’m so lucky I’ve got such beautiful friends. This is Kat.   Photo: Carolin Weinkopf

Michael Triegel.

Arriving in an industrial brick stone area covered in icicles, we were picked up by Michael Triegel and kindly welcomed in his warm and cozy loft studio.   I’m usually not into paintings, neither the old master’s way nor religious topics. But Michael Triegel’s works are truly impressive and seem to glow from inside. He clearly is a master of his craft and all of his paintings seem to have somewhat of …
