A German Story.

For a while I have wanted to make a trip through my home country and explore the obvious, the unspectacular, and to search for the common and familiar in my surroundings. After traveling so much and so far in the past few years I felt ready for a bit of habitat. Muscat, Oman.

When I first landed in >>Oman<< in the middle of the night two years ago, I remember not being able to sleep because the view from my bedroom window was just too exciting. I had never been to the middle east and it was really too bewitching to just sleep.   Muscat is a mix of desert, beautiful, rocky mountains, traditional houses and a futurama-like network of modern superhighways with big, shiny white trucks driving on them. Israel/Palestine: Jericho, Westbank.

After a few days strolling through Tel Aviv and gaining weight due to delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners, I decided to check out some of the rest of the country.   I took a bus from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and from there, I tried to figure out how to get to Jericho.
