Life lately. #27/52

Summer is – job-wise – usually a slow time for me, and I guess that’s fine. Since June was still quite busy with shootings and editing, even though I wanted to take a break, I am giving myself a less productive first half of July instead, and I use it to get things in order that have been undone way too long. I updated my >>website<< (that’s right, after more than two years) and relaunched a new design and everything, with my blog included (finally!). This feels so good. It’s like a whole new life.

Meanwhile, it’s a hot and humid summer in Berlin, with thunderstorms almost daily and I’m suffering from fatigue and headaches. Mini-me returned whole and safe from his five-day daycare trip to a farmstead in Brandenburg, and even though having some time off motherhood was the best idea ever (!) and is highly recommended, I am so happy to have him back. He had a little accident right after returning, but luckily he got away with a few bruises (sigh).

We watched soccer with friends, spent a day on Tempelhofer Feld with >>Janina<< and her son, had brunch with >>Lisa<<, went to see >>Finding Vivian Maier<<, and got totally blown away by the Brazil vs. Germany match on Tuesday (that I watched by myself at home due to no babysitter, but accompanied by a lively whatsapp chat with a bunch of girls). >>Nina<< made her bet on 0:7 (as a joke?!) and we all started celebrating her during the game, until Brazil made one goal at last. Mini-me and I also cycled to Prenzlauer Berg to meet >>Katja<< and her newborn and went on a stroll through their hood. I did a lot of street photography this week and worked on a few personal projects that I will share with you soon.
