New York Prints for Sale.

As some of you may know, I spent a week in New York from September 3 – 11. I am still battling the jet lag away (and a really bad cold), but New York was just lovely! It had been soooo long and I definitely got back in the vibe. I walked for hours every day and had a blast at my very first American wedding (more on this soon). Besides a long needed return to my favourite city (besides Berlin!), it was also my first real solo travel since becoming a mama. Being away from my little family did …

The #juergentellerassignment.

Oh damn, I’m so behind on everything. Mini-me’s fabulous caretaker took some well-deserved three weeks off for her summer vacation and we were left with a hyperactive and totally bored mini-me in Berlin. Literally, everything I have worked on is delayed or a total chaos. Dear super-mamas, I wish I was one of you. An almost two-year old is no joke to handle. In the supermarket. At Ikea. At breakfast. And dinner. At work. Oh my.   To not collapse under a nervous break-down, we packed our stuff, borrowed a car and went to the little town that’s home to …

Life lately. #32/52

We basically spent last week in the forest, as you see in the pictures below. It was a slow and green and lovely week. We also went to Nürburgring for a day to watch vintage cars and I shot one of the best photos in a lifetime that day. I love it so much and keep looking at it, over and over again. It was the perfect moment and I am so grateful.   The woods around our hometown are breathtaking. It literally seems like they are mystic virgin jungles. More than once I asked myself, why, as a child, …

Gesucht: Tolle Orte in Deutschland.

All new and shiny.

I spent the past week, day and night, with this shiny new website and blog. It’s the first time I am working with content management (in words: wordpress) on my own site and it turns out to be great, easier and less fuzz, even though I am still slightly adjusting little bugs, day by day. Besides that this is what I dreamed of:   A very clean, minimal >>website<< that’s easy to manage and update with an integrated >>blog<<. For potential clients to look at my photos and the option to read some of the stories along. And for my …

Dear Pentax. (a crisis)

Dear Pentax,   it’s been a long love story between you and me. You were the first analogue slr camera I picked up as a teenager and actually felt comfortable with. You were with me from the beginning on. With you, I took my first shaky selfies in the bathroom, back in the US during my exchange school year. I love your handling, I love your look and I love the photos you give me, over and over again.   We went digital together, after our first analogue baby got stolen in >>Southern France<<. I was always happy with you, …

Life lately. #13/52

So after the sick week follows an almost healthy one. I worked my ass off these past days to catch up and actually got most of my stuff done. I spent a sunny saturday on a boat cruising Müggelsee and the lakes around with a group of drunken girls, which was absolutely amazing and so (!) relaxing. April will be good to me job-wise and will even involve a bit of travelling. While editing the past week’s photo shoots, I’m boosting my immune system with yellow, red and green smoothies and I really enjoy the beautiful weather outside. My eye …

The Geekettes.

In February I met up with Jess Erickson and Denise Philipp – the fabulous founders of the amazing >>Geekettes<< movement to connect women in tech – to take their >>portrait<<. They have been super successful in Berlin and Germany and are now >>expanding<< the Geekettes all over the world. Cheers girls, and congratulations!   Photo: Carolin Weinkopf

Istanbul, Turkey.

Istanbul had been on my top travel list for years, but somehow I never made it there. On my way to Macedonia right after finding out I was >>pregnant<< almost two years ago, I actually had a >>10 hour stopover<< there, but hey, I definitely had other things in mind that day, and couldn’t enjoy the city that much, plus it was only a few hours in a rush.   This year we took Turkish Airlines to and from >>Oman<< and both times had a stopover in Istanbul (plus a really annoying extra stop in Bahrain we didn’t know about…). …
